Who are we?

Jean-Yves SEVESTRE created more than 20 years ago a gallery in Isle sur la Sorgue near Avignon which has become a concept store L'ŒIL.

This art and decoration gallery presents designer works, furniture, beautiful decorative objects, Berber rugs and tribal art. The EYE is known for:

• The manufacture, import and installation in France of bamboo gazebos
• The conception, design, manufacture and Indonesia and sale in Europe of exceptional furniture and sculptures in solid wood
• International promotion and sale of Berber rugs from Morocco

Jean-Yves Sevestre lives between Marrakech and Bali and comes to see the teams of L'ŒIL, of which he is the manager, in Isle sur la Sorgue every two or three months.

In Marrakech he became an expert in Berber carpets. He leads several cooperatives of weavers and through his team of bargain hunters. It produces, buys and sells 400 to 500 rugs per month by working with more than 600 interior designers and a network of 120 resellers in 42 countries. His company in Morocco TRIBAL ART MOROCCO is internationally known.

In Indonesia, he takes care of sourcing for L’ŒIL for a very wide range of furniture and decorative objects. But he brings a very particular follow-up to the manufacture and custom orders of bamboo gazebos in Java. But his greatest pleasure is the design or the purchase of exceptional pieces in solid wood (dining tables, coffee tables, consoles, sculptures).

With Didier SCHROEDER, the general manager of L'ŒIL, they currently offer a wide range of "Indus" style metal furniture, an exclusive range of recycled teak furniture, a large range of outdoor furniture (zellige, teak, rattan) and lots of unique decorative items.

Their French and international clientele is loyal to them and regularly visits the gallery hoping to find the latest object found by Jean Yves.
